Louise Gibson

SIKESTON -- Louise Gibson, 91, formerly of Malden, died Feb. 18, 2013, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born Jan. 22, 1922, in Independence County, Ark., to the late Lawrence and Gertrude Postalweight Mills, she had worked as a seamstress at RBA in Malden.

On Oct. 9, 1940, in Malden, she married Mack Edward Gibson who preceded her in death March 21, 1986.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include: one son, Johnnie Mack Gibson of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharron Kay and Roger Hoffman of Springfield and Alice Faye and Allen Jackson of Ashburn, Va.; one brother, Ivy C. Mills of St. Louis; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
