CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County officials are scrambling to get back in compliance with the FCC.

County commissioners learned from Reg Swan, owner of JCS/TelLink in Cape Girardeau, during their regular meeting Thursday, about problems with the radio tower the county sheriff's department communications equipment is mounted on.

"It's a 300-foot tower, painted, lit," Swan said "It's not registered."
