Jackson named Employee of the Year
DEXTER -- Ron Jackson of Poplar Bluff, manager of the Dexter Rent One store, received the Employee of the Year Award at a banquet in St. Charles.
Wilkerson named Safety Person of the Year
NEW MADRID -- William "Dino" Wilkerson was named the 2012 Safety Person of the Year at the New Madrid Power Plant, which is operated by Associate Electric Cooperative. Wilkerson, of Lilbourn, works as a yard equipment operator at the power plant. He has a record of safety and has made several recommendations for eliminating potential safety hazards.
Budreau, Douglas earn Excel Awards
NEW MADRID -- Nathan A. Budreau of Cape Girardeau and Mark R. Douglas of East Prairie, employees at the New Madrid Power Plant, received Excel Awards at Associated Electric Cooperative's annual employee recognition ceremony March 26 in Springfield. The men were nominated for the awards by their peers for excelling in their work at the power plant. Budreau, electrical and instrumentation superintendent, was 2012 Excel Employee of the Year in a Professional Field, while Douglas, a predictive maintenance specialist, received the 2012 Excel Award for Employee of the Year in a Technical Field.
