CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Scott County Senior Legion baseball team lost both games of a doubleheader Thursday at Capaha Park against Cape Junior Legion.
Scott Co. lost 11-5 after Cape scored six runs in the sixth inning. Zach Carlyle got the loss on the mound.
Carlyle, Trent Pobst and Tyler Rogers each had two hits apiece to lead Scott Co.
Scott Co. lost again in the second game 12-2.
CHARLESTON -- The Charleston Squirrels swept Bollinger County in a doubleheader Thursday during their home opener at Hillhouse Park in Charleston.
The Squirrels won game one 11-0 and game two 10-0. Both games ended in five innings.
