Fido has fleas

The dogs are running rampant in Sikeston and Grant City. I've got fleas all in my yard and everything. I've got animals that stay in the house and when they get out, they get them too. Something needs to be done about it. I don't know why people get animals if they aren't gonna take care of them.

Here's your sign

There is a sign at a pawn shop near Portageville and it has all this stuff on it and I don't know what it means. If anybody knows what that sign means, put it in SpeakOut.

Dying to know details

I've been reading the obituaries lately and I've noticed a disturbing amount of people that are dying at home. It will just say that he or she died at their home. It's especially disturbing of the number of people in their 20s and 30s who are dying at home. I'm just wondering how many of these people are dying of natural causes, like cancer, and how many are dying from other causes like drug overdoses. It never says what the cause of death is, but are there that many people in their 20s and 30s dying from natural causes? I don't think so. I think a lot of these people are dying from drug overdoses. Next time you read the obituaries, take notice of that. Also, have you noticed how many people now don't even have a funeral or a memorial service? They just say died at home, no services. It's pretty disturbing.

Grandson got grander

There are policemen that have really been good to me and my little grandson. They have been sort of like a father figure in his life. There's a certain policeman in our little town that's really been good for my grandson and I just really want to thank him. He's doing a beautiful job. We love you. Me and my grandson wish you and your wife the best. You are a wonderful cop. We appreciate you for changing a life here. God bless you.
