BENTON -- The Kelly Lady Hawks softball team improved to 13-4 on the season with a 9-2 home victory over Perryville on Wednesday.

Kelly managed an 8-0 lead after a six-run third. Perryville plated two runs in the fifth, but Kelly responded with an insurance run in the sixth to reach the final margin.

Alexis Dock was the winning pitcher, throwing six innings, allowing two hits and three walks with five strikeouts.

Kristi Brucker threw one inning in the fifth, allowing two runs (one earned) off two hits with two strikeouts.

House was the losing pitcher for Perryville.

Samantha Ratledge led the way for the Lady Hawks on offense, going 3-4 with an RBI. Dock went 2-3 with a double and a triple. Savannah Ashley went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs. Anna Hughes added a double and two RBIs.

"I thought we played Perryville very well," Kelly coach Rhonda Ratledge. "We put the ball in play and had multiple base hits which is what you want to see at this time of the season."

Kelly will host Notre Dame on Monday. They will play at Poplar Bluff on Tuesday in a doubleheader after Tuesday's rainout.

Kelly's final regular season game will be Wednesday when they host Oran.
