Highway Patrol: Two men injured in separate accidents
PORTAGEVILLE -- A three-vehicle wreck resulted in injuries for a Portageville man early Wednesday in Pemiscot County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 7:39 a.m. on East Outer Road Interstate 55 at County Road 330, as the southbound vehicle driven by Robert L. Cole, 48, of Portageville attempted to pass the southbound vehicle driven by Luella J. Welch, 65, of Portageville. A westbound vehicle driven by Lavonna L. Cato, 49, of Portageville was attempting to turn right onto the outer road and was struck by Cole's vehicle. Then Cole's vehicle struck Welch's vehicle.
Cole sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
TYLER -- An Arkansas man was injured after his tractor overturned Wednesday in Pemiscot County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 9:45 a.m. on the highway about two-tenths of a mile south of Tyler, as the northbound tractor operated by Tony L. Herron, 34, of Osceola, Ark., left the right side of the road and overturned.
Herron sustained minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to the Blytheville, Ark., Hospital.
