SIKESTON -- There's a good reason Fire Station 1 on North West Street was named the T.E. Bryant Public Safety Fire Facility.

"He deserved it," Mayor Jerry Pullen said. "He was a good Christian man, a good family man. He was good for the city and will be well-remembered in Sikeston for all the things he's done. It's a big loss. He was a great person."

Terry Bryant, 62, died Thursday at his home in Rocky Mount.
