SIKESTON -- Surviving a scare, the Scott County Central Braves got 23 points from Jeffery Porter to escape visiting Oak Ridge 76-71.
Porter went 4 of 14 from the floor but an almost perfect 15 of 16 from the free throw line for the Braves (15-4).LaRandis Banks added 19 points on 8 of 14 shooting and Kendall Blissett chipped in 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Oak Ridge (11-11) was led by Ryan Below's 39 points.

DEXTER (SMNS) -- The Dexter boys basketball team claimed its first home victory of the season with a 75-69 win over Perryville on Monday night.
Dexter took a 28-21 lead into halftime, but Perryville pulled even at 32-32 on a basket by Trenton Green with 5 minutes, 7 seconds left in the third quarter.
However, the Bearcats restored order, surging ahead 50-39 by the end of the quarter.
Perryville's 6-foot-8 center Colin Schirmer scored a team-high 26 points.
Garrett Martin hit three of Perryville's five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. D.J Dowdy paced Dexter with 18 points, while Cole Renken and Austin Chester both added 13 points. Chester scored all 13 of his points after halftime.
