EAST PRAIRIE -- The East Prairie Eagles baseball team fought back from a nine-run deficit Monday to take down visiting Saxony Lutheran 18-14.

The Eagles (2-3) found themselves behind 10-1 after the first three innings when Saxony scored nine runs in the top of the third. After five innings East Prairie led 13-11 after scoring eight in the bottom of the fifth. Saxony again took the lead in the top of the sixth with three runs, but the Eagles put the game in hand by posting five more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

East Prairie had seven team hits and Saxony had six. Both teams combined for 19 errors.

East Prairie's Tyler Gilmore led all hitters with two hits.
