PADUCAH, Ky. - The U.S. Weather Service at Paducah has issued a hazardous weather outlook that includes Southeast Missouri.

Today and tonight there is a chance of scattered snow showers which may lead to minor accumulations on mainly grassy surfaces through the morning hours generally northeast of a line from Perryville, Mo., to Paduach to Hopkinsville, Ky.

"There will be an elevated fire danger mainly over the Ozark foothills of Southeast Missouri this afternoon," according to forecasters.

Wednesday through Monday thunderstorms are possible over all or part of the area Thursday, Thursday night and Friday with the approach and passage of a frontal system, the NWS reported. A few storms may become severe Thursday afternoon and evening over Southwest Illinois and parts of Southeast Missouri.
