The 2014 BA Sports All-Star Extravaganza took place Saturday at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter. Over 65 area schools competed in volleyball and basketball all-star games and skills competitions. The 2014 BA Sports All-Star Extravaganza took place Saturday at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter.

Over 65 area schools competed in volleyball and basketball all-star games and skills competitions.

Charleston's Robert Bogan was selected as the large-school boys basketball Defensive Player of the Year, Oak Ridge's Ryan Below was selected as the small-school boys basketball Defensive Player of the Year and Dexter's Paige Patterson was selected as the girls basketball Defensive Player of the Year.

Kennett's Kevonte Mitchell was selected as the large-school boys basketball Offensive Player of the Year, Advance's Lane Below was selected as the small-school boys basketball Offensive Player of the Year, South Pemiscot's Carrie Shephard was selected as the girls basketball Offensive Player of the Year and Lesterville's Immerah Bethume was selected as the volleyball Offensive Player of the Year.

Leopold's Sydney Eeftink was selected as Best Setter.

Advance's Lane Below was selected small-school boys basketball Player of the Year, Sikeston's J.T. Jones was selected large-school boys basketball Player of the Year, South Pemiscot's Carrie Shephard was selected girls basketball Player of the Year and Bernie's Tori Lowrey was selected volleyball Player of the Year.

Chaffee's Josh Govreau was selected as the small-school boys basketball Coach of the Year, Jackson's Darrin Scott and Charleston's Danny Farmer were selected as the large-school boys basketball Coaches of the Year, Dexter's Chad Allen was selected as the girls basketball Coach of the Year and Leopold's Sandy Davis was selected as the volleyball Coach of the Year.

Cape Central's Lance Tollison was selected Athletic Director of the Year.

Scott County Central's Larandis Banks received the Heartland Courage Award.

Five skills competitions were held.

Notre Dame's Karsen Powers won the controlled passing contest in volleyball, Lesterville's Immerah Bethume won the spike contest in volleyball, Bernie's Jake Wagner won the 3-point contest in boys basketball, Dexter's Hannah Noe won the 3-point contest in girls basketball and Caruthersville's Darrell Monroe won the slam dunk contest in boys basketball.
