CHARLESTON - A fourth person is in custody in connection with the murder of a Poplar Bluff man in Mississippi County.

The Mississippi County Sheriff's Department reported the arrest Monday afternoon of a Mississippi County man in connection with the murder of Derell Davis. Davis' body, which had multiple lacerations to the neck and abdomen, was discovered Saturday evening in the Drinkwater Sewer in northern Mississippi County by fishermen.

Neither the name of the man arrested nor the evidence seized was released by Sheriff Keith Moore pending the filing of formal charges. Authorities did say said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are expected.

Three persons arrested earlier are expected to be in court Wednesday

East Prairie residents Brent Christopher Naile, 33, Faye Ettie Meyers, 44, and Sabrina Kay Lewis, 41, are scheduled for arraignment at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday before Associate Judge T. Lynn Brown.
