SIKESTON -- Those looking to gear up for the upcoming rodeo while learning some American history in the process will have the chance to do so beginning with Friday's Downtown Gallery Walk in Historic Sikeston.
"We're are still putting the collection together," said Shari Bartyzel, executive director of the Sikeston Depot Museum, on Wednesday.
However, Bartyzel said the collection will definitely be ready by Friday's gallery walk, which begins at 5 p.m. at the Depot and will present the collection, "Cowboys and Indians."
"We hope this collection will get everyone ready for the rodeo, and it's also educational because they can learn about the actual history and historic pieces that they can look at and see and touch," Bartyzel said.
