SIKESTON -- Sikeston residents who want to see how part of their tax dollars are being spent will have the chance to do so -- up close and personal during an open house Saturday at the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

Set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sikeston DPS will open its new headquarters, located at 201 S. Kingshighway, to the public.

"Our department has been operating out of this new location for two years now, and it will continue to serve as DPS headquarters for decades to come," said Capt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for DPS. "We feel the open house is appropriate as we near the two-year anniversary, and the final add-ons to the property have been completed."
