New Madrid County R-1 School District will begin the 2014-2015 school year on Friday, August 8, 2014 with school in session for a full day.
New students should pre-enroll before attending school. Pre-enrollment will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. July 28th --August 5th in the principal's office at each school. Any new student who has not pre-enrolled by August 5th will not be allowed to enroll or attend school until Monday, August 11th.
Immunization record, birth certificate and appropriate academic records must be provided at the time of enrollment. Proof of guardianship will also be required of students living with caregivers other than their parents.
Children enrolling in kindergarten must be 5 years old before August 1st.
Applications for free and reduced price lunches will be sent home with students on August 8th. This form must be completed annually for those who plan to participate in the program unless prior notification has been received.
School accident insurance forms will be given to the students the first day of school. Insurance coverage begins when the application and fee are returned to school.
