Come to Jesus Christ
The apostle John wrote in 1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin." A person must first come to Jesus Christ as Savior before they can walk in the light. The truth of God's word must first have brought light and conviction of sin to their heart. As a Christian continues to walk in the light of God's truth they become more and more aware of how holy God is and how sinful they are. I know for me personally that I have done far more confessing of sin after I was saved than I ever did before I was saved.
Christians have the same sinful nature as non-Christians. Christians are just sinners who have finally admitted to God that they are sinners and have trusted in Jesus as Lord and Savior. They accept Christ's full and final payment for their sins on the cross. That makes a church simply a bunch of sinners who have finally realized it and have banded themselves together to do something about it. The church is the only organization I know of where you have to admit to being bad before you can join. And that is us at First Baptist Church. Here at First Baptist Church we are simply sinners saved by grace and we want you to know that God loves you and so do we.
