JACKSON -- Sam Cox scored his seventh goal of the season and goalie Max Ault recorded his second shutout during Sikeston's 3-0 win over Saxony Lutheran Monday on the road.

Audi Hay and Conner Merideth also added goals.

Sikeston (5-4) will host Notre Dame today with junior varsity starting at 5 p.m. and varsity starting directly after.

__Notre Dame 9, Sikeston 0__

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston tennis team fell 9-0 to Notre Dame.

"Notre Dame's consistency concerning mechanics was the difference in the team dual match today," Sikeston tennis coach Russ Dial said. "We're becoming more consistent with our mechanics, however, not to the point where our unforced errors are down to a minimal number."

Sikeston will host Caruthersville today at 4 p.m.

__Sikeston 18, Dexter 12__

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston junior varsity football team defeated Dexter 18-12 Monday at Sikeston Public School Stadium.

Sikeston scored 18-unanswered to start the game.

Quarterback Deonundre Johnson found Marcus Williams for a 50-yard touchdown with 14 seconds left in the first quarter. Williams also caught the 2-point conversion.

Bryce Bays hit a 21-yard field goal with eight seconds left in the half to put the Bulldogs ahead 11-0.

With 6:41 left in the third, Jason Moore found pay dirt from 22 yards away. Bays' extra point made it 18-0.

Dexter answered with two scores to end the third quarter which was a 70-yard run and a 12-yard pass with under a minute remaining.

__FRESHMAN FOOTBALL__

__East Prairie 42, Sikeston 40__

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston freshman football team lost to East Prairie 42-40 Monday.

Quarterback Bryce Bays threw two touchdown passes to Titus Fields (48 yards and 30 yards) and also ran for another from eight yards away.

Running back Matthew Perry finished with two rushing touchdowns.
