The New Madrid County Family Resource Center is hosting the Mr. & Miss Rock 'n Roll Beauty Pageant on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Dixie Theater on Main Street in New Madrid. The first pageant starts at 10:00 a.m., with arrival times for contestants varying per age group.
There are seven age divisions to compete in. Both boys and girls may compete in the 3 youngest divisions, which are 0 to 12 months, 13 months to 2 years, and 3 to 4 years. Only girls may compete in the remaining four age divisions, which are 5 to 6 years, 7 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years, and 13 to 16 years.
The early entry fee is $20 and the regular entry fee is $30. All early entries must be registered by September 26. There is a Supreme Option for $5 extra.
Applications may be picked up at any of the following locations: all New Madrid County Libraries, Gator's Pizza, the Family Resource Center, New Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Johnson's Food Mart, Gideon Elementary School, Risco Elementary School, Howardville Head Start and Early Head Start.
