SIKESTON -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with an armed robbery Monday.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call from a man at about 11:03 a.m. Monday reporting he was robbed at about 10:45 a.m. on the 500 block of John R. Boulevard, according to Capt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for the Sikeston DPS.

The victim said he was there to meet a man in front of a residence who offered to sell an iPhone 4 for $40, according to McMillen.

As the victim spotted a subject on a porch near the arranged meeting place, four black males ran in front of his vehicle, one with a handgun, and demanded his money while others searched his vehicle.
