Billy Lee McCoy, the son of the late Monroe McCoy and Estlee Boughman McCoy, born April 1, 1941 in Russellville, AR, died December 4, 2014 in Portageille at the age of 73 years.
He was united in marriage with Bonita James on March 15, 1986 in Hayti.
Billy was a trucker for the family trucking business, Fam Trucking.
He was preceded in death by one son, Barry McCoy, and one sister, Faye Wafford.
Those who survive him include his wife, Bonita McCoy of Portageville, three sons, Tony (Lourie) McCoy of Portageville, Sherman (Michelle) Manley II of Caruthersville, and Mark (Tammy) Manley of Hayti, one daughter, Cindy (Tony) Brandon of Memphis, TN, two brothers, Harold (Sandy) McCoy of Jackson, MO, and Randell (Carol) McCoy of Kentucky, 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, December 6 at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Paul Quinn officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons Sherman, Michael, T.J., Troy, Tyler and Mark. Honorary Pallbearers were the employees of Fam Trucking.
