CHARLESTON -- The county finally has its orders placed for equipment to replace was was lost during a tire fire last summer.

Commissioners accepted the bids for five pieces of equipment for the county road and bridge department during their regular weekly meeting Thursday.

The county already received from the insurance company the estimated depreciated value of the lost equipment, according to County Clerk DeLay, and will receive the balance once the insurance company receives invoices for the purchased replacements.

"There was one bid on each piece of equipment," DeLay said.
