Sikeston golf finishes third in home match, Notre Dame takes first

SIKESTON -- The Notre Dame golf team finished first and had the top individual performer Tuesday during the 4-team match at Fox Haven Country Club in Sikeston.

Notre Dame topped the others with a combined score of 154. Jackson took second with 164 followed by Sikeston (175) and Dexter (184).

Notre Dame's Jack Litzelfelner finished with an even-par 36 after playing the back nine. Teammate Jonathan Bell finished with a 37.

Sikeston's Gabe Wheeler shot two-over par with a 38 which tied with Jackson's Hunter Asher. Ethan Stevens shot a 39 to lead Dexter.

Sikeston, as well as Cape Central, will take part in a three-team match at Dexter today at Hidden Trails Country Club.
