CHARLESTON -- The total cost for all of Mississippi County's disaster recovery projects from the 2011 spring flood is just shy of $3 million.
The Mississippi County Commission was presented with disaster relief reimbursement figures by County Clerk Junior DeLay during the Commission's regular weekly meeting Thursday.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is reimbursing the county 75 percent of the cost of approved projects.
DeLay's report shows the county received $575,656 in 2011; $702,039 in '12; $513,298 in '13; $88,151 last year and $116,428 so far this year in FEMA reimbursements.
The request for a final partial payment of $131,116 will be submitted, DeLay said, which will leave $104,114 in reimbursement funding that will be released to the county upon inspection of the completed project.
"They are tentatively scheduled to come down for the final inspection Sept. 22," he said.
Once the county receives that $235,131 outstanding, it will have received a total of $2,230,703.15 in FEMA reimbursements on total project expenditures of $2,974,270.87.
"That's all the FEMA projects -- 75 projects," DeLay said.
The final project, the reconstruction of County Road 310, was the largest of the 75, according to DeLay.
