Attempted rape suspect sought by Sikeston DPS

SIKESTON -- Police are searching for a Sikeston man wanted through Scott County for attempted sexual assault.

Anthony Price, 21, is wanted by the Scott County Prosecutor's Office for charges of attempted rape, according to Sikeston Department of Public Safety. These charges are stemming from an allegation of an attempted sexual assault on Aug. 28.

"Specific details of this incident have not been included in order to safeguard the privacy of the victim in this case," said Capt. John McMillen, public information officer with Sikeston DPS.

Anyone with information on Price's whereabouts is asked to contact Sikeston DPS at 573-471-4711. Anyone with information that leads to his arrest can be eligible for a cash reward. All tips can remain anonymous.
