POPLAR BLUFF -- The Sikeston tennis team once again got a win from Ali Price, but that's it as they fell to Poplar Bluff on the road 8-1.
"Our bright spot today was our No. 1," Sikeston tennis coach Russ Dial said. "She played very well with lots of energy and a mental toughness. It's her second win over Poplar Bluff's No. 1 this season and this will improve Ali's seed position for individual district play."
Sikeston will host Kennett today at 4 p.m.

NAYLOR -- Bailey Wiseman batted in two runs but it was not enough as the Red Devils fell to the Eagles on the road.
Hannah Seyer sustained the loss in the circle for Chaffee (6-7). She pitched 2 2/3 innings and gave up nine runs (two earned) on six hits. She had two strikeouts and walked two.
Gracie Gargac was the winning pitcher. She threw a complete game, allowed two earned runs, struck out one and walked six.
Callee Pickrell hit a double for the only extra-base hit of the game and added three RBIs for Naylor (4-8). Lexi Day batted in three runs for the Eagles as well.
