BENTON - A Vanduser woman found at the scene of a burglary is in jail.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter Sheriff Walter, formal charges are pending against the woman who was arrested Wednesday after deputies responded to 104 East Caroline in Morley to a report of a burglary in progress. When deputies arrived, the suspect was still inside the residence and was ordered to come out; the suspect eventually complied.

"The suspect had knives, a flashlight, a screw driver and other tools commonly used to commit burglaries with her," Walter said in a release.

Officers at the scene reported she had entered the residence by opening a window and crawling through it.

The woman is being held at the Scott County jail pending the filing of charges of second degree burglary and possession of burglary tools by the Scott County prosecuting attorney.
