Kelsi Miller blasted a grand slam as the top-seeded Bulldogs used a strong third-inning performance to down the third-seeded Green Wave in a vengeful victory to claim the championship of the Bootheel Conference Tournament.

Senior standout Taylor Tiffany pitched a perfect game to help get the win for Portageville (14-1). She recorded 14 strikeouts and walked no batters in the circle.

Destiney Crossno doubled twice and drove in four runs for the Bulldogs, who suffered their only loss of the spring season to Malden earlier in the season.

Katie Goodman suffered the loss in the circle for Malden (15-5). She pitched a complete game and allowed three earned runs. She had no strikeouts and walked three batters.

The Green Wave advanced to the championship after upsetting second-seeded Kennett 10-4 in a semifinal Tuesday. Portageville trounced fifth-seeded Holcomb 15-0 to move into the title game.
