When I was writing this speech, I thought about how I was going to make it short and sweet, mostly so my mom wouldn't cry. But then I realized that she would cry regardless, so I
just went with it. The past 12 years of my life have been spent in this school, and there are many people that I want to thank, on behalf of myself and my classmates.
First, I want to thank each of our Elementary and Junior High teachers, who are often forgotten about on this big day. You started us out on a long and crazy journey but you supported each one of us (even through our
awkward stages.)
Thank you to our high school teachers and staff. You have guided us every step unto this very moment and helped us in ways that we may not even realize yet. Thanks for writing endless amounts of letters of recommendations, basically doing all of our canvases (Mrs. Heather), and so much more.
Thank you for every lesson that you have taught us. You have given us countless memories that we will never forget, like Coach Irby tripping over the box in our class meeting the first day of junior year, Coach Davis sprinting down the halls with us at a study session one night because of the "ghost", Coach Bullock and Mr. Hendrix and their hilarious sing-offs at assemblies, and Mr. Norman dabbing during class.
Thank you all for putting up with all of us for four years, you are truly the best and we'll never forget you.
Thank you to our families, but especially our parents. Thank you for buying all of our fundraisers and sitting in the stands at all of our games, even when the crazy soccer mom comes out. You have been our support systems and biggest fans since T-Ball, always cheering us on and pushing us forward. Yes, we don't always get along but without each one of you, none of us would be here today. There are no words to describe how thankful each one of us are for all of
you.
Lastly, I want to thank my classmates. Thank each of you for being who you are and for always supporting me and each other. We don't always all agree or get along, but no matter what we have always had each others back. Thank for the many memories that you have given me.
We are blessed to have such a great class. We are all moving on to the next chapter in our lives.
So I hope you take every opportunity that you can, live life to the fullest, and find God's blessings in the smallest places. I wish the best for each and everyone of you, no matter where you go or what you do. Thank you.
