SIKESTON -- Despite sporadic rain throughout Saturday that eventually delayed the night's concert, competitors enjoyed a dry arena to close out this year's Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo. SIKESTON -- Despite sporadic rain throughout Saturday that eventually delayed the night's concert, competitors enjoyed a dry arena to close out this year's Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo.

Sage Kimzey had the best bull ride of the week on Devil's Cut, an 87.5, winning the night and beating out Shane Proctorna's 85.5 second place ride. Eli Vastbinder ride earned 84 points , leaving him in third.

A 16.41 second run by Emily Miller in barrel racing was tops on the night, followed by Laura Kennedy with a time of 16.84 seconds. Conny Winker's finished in 17.02 seconds for third.

The duo of Joe Beaver and McCoy Profili easily won team roping with a run of 6.8 seconds. Brant Spurgin and Gabe Gwaltney were the closest competition with a time of 11.5 seconds, taking second place, with Chase Wiley and Ace Pearce's 15.5 second run good for third.

With a time of 9.8 seconds Ike Fontenot earned top honors in the tie down roping. Cheyenne Harper and Zak Danison with times of 10.5 and 12.2 seconds respectively earned second and third place.

Edging out Jacobs Crawley by half a point, Sterling Crawley posted a score of 78.5 on Dusty Roads to win saddle bronc riding. Crawley's 78 left him in second andShane Proctor took third with a 75.

Steer wrestling's top honor went to Jon Ragatz with a run of 5.7 seconds, followed by Judd Harris and Tooter Silver tying for second place with times of 6.2 seconds each.

In bareback riding, Tanner Phipps bested the competition with an 84 on Top Flight. Tim O'Connel was close behind with an 83 for second and Kyle Brennecke's 82 was good for third.
