BENTON, Mo. - A investigation into domestic violence led to the arrest of Haywood City man on weapons charges. Freddie Banks Sr., 43, is charged with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm. BENTON, Mo. - A investigation into domestic violence led to the arrest of Haywood City man on weapons charges.

Freddie Banks Sr., 43, is charged with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, his office began investigating a domestic violence case Tuesday involving Banks. During the investigation detectives discovered Banks had three felony convictions and currently possessed a hand gun and a rifle inside his residence.

A search warrant was obtained and subsequently served resulting in the recovery of both firearms and a stolen shotgun out of New Madrid County.

Banks remains in custody at the Scott County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
