EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Ashton Drake and Tyeshia Mitchell both hit a double and went 3 for 4 at the plate as the Bulldogs blanked the winless Eagles on the road.
Kylie Noe went the distance in the circle to get the win for Sikeston (8-2). She recorded two strikeouts and two walks.
Grace Sutton suffered the pitching loss in throwing a complete game for East Prairie (0-5). She allowed seven earned runs, struck out two and walked three.
Sikeston was originally scheduled to compete in the Potosi Tournament on Saturday, but the tournament has now been postponed to Friday-Saturday, Sept. 23-24. The Bulldogs will face Notre Dame on Monday in Sikeston. East Prairie hosts Saxony Lutheran on Monday.
