RISCO, Mo. -- Four players scored in double figures as the Oran Eagles took down Risco on the road 74-62 Tuesday.
Max Priggel poured in a game-high 21 points for the Eagles. Jacob Shoemaker added 19 points, Cole Priggel scored 16 and Layne Johnson had 12 for Oran (2-2).
"Oran played well. They're well-coached," Risco coach Brandon Blankenship said. "We just have to play better, but it's good for us to play against good competition and that's what we're doing early in the season. It's going to help us down the road."
Nathan Burnett and Morgan Ludwig each scored 17 to lead Risco, who dropped two straight after starting the year 4-0. Drew Fortner added 14 points for the Tigers (4-2).

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Landon Tenkhoff finished with 14 points, but it wasn't enough as the Red Devils fell to the Eagles on the road in both teams' conference opener.
Gabe Henson added 13 points for Chaffee (1-4, 0-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference). The Red Devils led 33-26 at halftime but were unable to continue the momentum in the second half, as the hosts outscored the Red Devils by 13 points to erase the first-half deficit and get the win.
Luke Marcum had a game-high 20 points to lead East Prairie (1-2, 1-0).

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Scott County Central Bravettes improved to 2-3 on the young season with a 78-16 win over visiting South Pemiscot Tuesday night.
The Bravettes blanked the Lady Bulldogs in the first quarter 27-0 and led 48-6 at the half.
Junior Hailey Kesler finished with a triple double, 14 points, 11 rebounds and 13 steals while sophomore Trinity Thomas led Scott Central with game-high 22 points. Freshman Samantha Coffee added 17 points and LaTeisha Strickland finished with 10.

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- The Sikeston Junior High basketball teams split with Charleston on Tuesday at Charleston Middle School.
Sikeston's seventh grade team defeated Charleston 44-17 while Charleston's eighth grade team won its contest 68-47.
Sikeston's seventh grade team improved to 3-4 on the season while the eighth grade team fell to 1-5. The junior high Bulldogs will play at New Madrid County Central on Thursday in a triple-header along with the Sikeston freshman team. The seventh grade game begins at 4:30.
