The University of Missouri Extension Center is offering produce growers a learning opportunity related to the farmer’s market. Two workshops will be available at different locations. The first will be Friday, March 24, 2017 beginning at 8:30 am at the Clinton Center in Sikeston, MO.
The second workshop will occur on Saturday, March 25, 2017 beginning at 8:30 am at Mineral Area College. These workshops will offer attendees the option of having scales certified.
Topics covered include Food Safety Modernization Act, funding for the market, sampling at the market, IPM practices for cucumber beetle and weed warfare. To register call Kate Kammler at 573-883-3548.
