Betty Sue Ellis, 84

Betty Sue Ellis was born Feb. 8, 1933 in Portageville, to Walter Tanner and Eula (Montgomery) Tanner. She died Friday, March 31, 2017 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, at the age of 84 years, one month, and 23 days.

She was a member of the St Eustachius Catholic Church and loved being around her family and friends, going shopping and playing cards. Preceding her in death were her parents, Eula (Montgomery) Tanner and Walter Tanner; two sisters: Wilma Underwood and Alba Mae Howard; brothers: Wilford Charles, W.A. Gooden, Lloyd and Sibert Tanner; and one great-grandson: Jacob Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters and son-in-laws, Susan (Kevin) Chambers of Atoka, Tenn., Angie (Jimmy) Toton of Portageville, and Jena (Sean) Woodall of Roanoke, Va,; her sisters:  Norma Jean (Ralph) Sander of Golden, Colo., and  Syble Willey of Memphis, Tenn.; her grandchildren: Bridgett Barnett, Chelsea Lynn Toton, Cassidy and Grant Woodall, Ellis and Sydney Chambers;  great- grandchildren: Hannah Barnett, Brayden Barnett, Blake Barnett, and Caleb Pullum; and a host of many

other relatives and friends.

Services were conducted Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11 a.m.  at St Eusatchius Catholic Church with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Burial followed in Portageville Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers were Jimmy Toton, Kevin Chambers, Sean Woodall, Ellis Chambers, Steven Barnett, and Grant Woodall.

DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville was in charge of arrangements.
