Sikeston track team breaks school record during Twilight Relays

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston track team broke a school record during Wednesday's Twilight Relays at Sikeston High School.

Antravia Green broke her own school record in the 100-meter dash with an unofficial time of 11.81. The senior broke the record twice before setting it the latest time during the 2015 Twilight Relays with a 12.12.

The Sikeston boys team had four first place finishes during an event that doesn't keep team scores. All times and distances are combined for an overall score in each event and a best overall was recorded for five field events.

Justus Faulkner led Sikeston to a long jump win with an individual jump of 20 feet, 10 inches. Tyzeek Hill won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.93.

The Bulldogs also won the 110-hurdles and the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:32.20.

Charleston's Jeremey Tucker led the Bluejays to first place in the high jump after topping out at 6-5.

Sikeston's girls had two first place finishes, including Green's. They also won the shot put with a combined score of 92-3.

Charleston also won the girls high jump thanks to Connor Watkins' leap of 5-0.

Dexter's girls had three first place finishes in the 4x100 relay, the 4x800 relay and the distance medley.

Malden swept the thrower's relay, which is a 4x100 relay for those who typically perform in field events.
