PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. — The Chaffee Red Devils overcame a 14-2 first quarter deficit to defeat Portageville on the road in overtime. Final score, 32-38.

Chaffee and Portageville were tied at 32 at the end of regulation before Chaffee scored in overtime to seal the win and a 2-0 start to the season. Portageville falls to 0-2.

Portageville will be on the road at Malden this Friday.

"I was not so proud of the first half of the game. We had a couple of players that made some bad decisions. They had to set out the rest of the game," Bullock said.

"However, the boys that came out the second half played with intensity and heart, I could not be more proud of them. Whether it was the loss of the two players, or the opportunity for them to step up to the plate, I not sure, but they played their hearts out, I know their parents are really proud of that," he added.
