Many people want to live the American dream by owning their own business. In fact, over half of all new businesses started are small business owned by local people. One of the biggest hurdles they face is planning their new business venture and is why over 70% of new business fail in their first year.
A class offered by the University of Missouri Extension Small Business Development Technology Center of Cape Girardeau County called “The Basics of Writing a Business Plan” is being held at the Clara Drinkwater Newnam County Library at 105 E. Marshall St., Charleston, MO on September 26, 2017 beginning at 6 pm.
The class will teach key parts of a business plan and while providing guidelines for styles and appearance of the plan. The importance of a business plan will also be covered as well as who needs to write one.
The class is being sponsored by MU Extension as part of their community outreach efforts to encourage small businesses in the area.
