DEXTER, Mo. -- A Dexter man was killed after his motorized bicycle was struck by an emergency vehicle Saturday in Stoddard County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 5:43 p.m. Saturday, Derrick A. Durall, 25, of Bloomfield was traveling northbound with his sport utility vehicle's emergency lights and sirens activated on Missouri 25 at Stoddard Street in Dexter when the SUV struck the motorized vehicle operated by David J. Griggs, 22, of Dexter, who was crossing Missouri 25.
Griggs was pronounced dead at 6:05 p.m. by coroner Kenneth Pope at Southeast Health of Stoddad County in Dexter. Griggs' death marked the 13th in Troop E this year.
