Charles Hayden

MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Charles Dean Hayden, 58, died Feb. 27, 2018, at his home in Matthews.

Born Jan. 9, 1960, in Mississippi County, son of the late Charles Arvel Hayden and Lola Mae Poley Hayden, he had lived in East Prairie a number of years prior to moving to Matthews.

Survivors include: his companion, Tonya Tucker, of the home in Matthews; one son Levi Austin Phillips of Scott City; his stepchildren, Austin Tucker and Michala Cummins of East Peoria, Ill.; five brothers, Mike Hall of Sikeston, Bobby Karidis and Richard Hayden of East Prairie, Mike Hayden of Covington, Tenn., and David Kasza of Westminster, Md.; eight sisters, Esther Ann Dulinskas of Palos Heights, Ill., Louise Hayden and Kim Hayden of Benton, Joanie Hull and Mary Hayden of Braddyville, Iowa, Debbie Messersmith of Boonsboro, Md., Dawn Kasza of Louisiana and Betty Hayden of Sikeston.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters; and his stepmother, Alice Lorraine Thompson Hayden.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Ken Moore of Matthews will officiate.
