Doris Owens

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Doris Mae Owens, 93, died Feb. 24, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

Born May 16, 1924, in Falmouth, Ky., daughter the late Andrew and Mamie Heilmann, she was a retired factory worker and member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On June 5, 1943, in Jeffersonville, Ind., she married James Edward Owens, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2005.

Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, James (Saundra) Owens of Chaffee and Jack Owens of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Kim Boitnott and Gary Owens of Chaffee and Candi Goins of Anna, Ill.; and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, a sister and three brothers.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating.

Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
