CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ervin S. Glueck, 89, died Sept. 8, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 27, 1927, in Kelso, to the late Bernard and Hermina Catherine LeGrand Glueck, he retired as an operator for Spartech Plastic Inc. in Cape Girardeau and a self-employed farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the St. Ambrose Men's Club.

On June 19, 1954, he married Joanna Kluesner, who preceded him in death on April 11, 1999.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Therese Glueck of Scott City and David and Karen Glueck and Steven and Anita Glueck of Chaffee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Ron Wood of St. Louis and Mary and Pat Ogilvie of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; one sister, Helen Eeftink of Hazelwood; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leon Glueck; a sister, Delphine Gosche; and a grandson Dallas Glueck.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating.

Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery at Chaffee. The Missouri Honors Program will conduct a full military service.
