SIKESTON -- Elza Lowell Webb, 94, died Nov. 23, 2016, at his home in Sikeston. Born March 23, 1922, in Jewett, Ill., to the late Oscar and Stella Watts Webb, he served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and had worked for many years at the Standard Democrat...

SIKESTON -- Elza Lowell Webb, 94, died Nov. 23, 2016, at his home in Sikeston.

Born March 23, 1922, in Jewett, Ill., to the late Oscar and Stella Watts Webb, he served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and had worked for many years at the Standard Democrat.

On Nov. 9, 1953, in Sikeston, he married Anne Worley, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Roger Webb of Sikeston; two daughters, Teresa Kissell of Sikeston and Penny Webb of Sikeston; two sisters, Nettie Eades of Monticello, Ill., and Diamond Hollenbeck of Tuscola, Ill.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Williams; six brothers and two sisters.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. No services are scheduled.
