ORAN, Mo. -- Florence Ann Anderson, 92, died Jan. 23, 2017, at Jackson Manor in Jackson. Born July 22, 1924, in Tacoma, Wash., to the late Marion Allen and Jewel Elizabeth Carey Reed, she was a retired seamstress from the Oran Hat Factory. ORAN, Mo. -- Florence Ann Anderson, 92, died Jan. 23, 2017, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

Born July 22, 1924, in Tacoma, Wash., to the late Marion Allen and Jewel Elizabeth Carey Reed, she was a retired seamstress from the Oran Hat Factory. A homemaker and of the Pentecostal belief, she was a Sunday school teacher and also spoke at many different Pentecostal churches.

On Dec. 12, 1942, she married the Rev. G. Earl Anderson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1989.

Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Shirley Anderson of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Richard Upchurch of Lamesa, Texas; and two grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters, Jewell Elizabeth Reed and Mary Alice Eakin.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with the

Rev. Gene Warren officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Morley.
