DEXTER, Mo. - Margaret Elizabeth Cravens of Dexter, 93, died March 10, 2017, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born May 1, 1923, in Cardwell, daughter of the late Vernie Spencer and Rosie Marie Blackburn Walker, she had lived in Southeast Missouri most of her life and in Dexter since 1973. She was a member of the Parma United Methodist Church.
On Sept. 27, 1944, at Piggott, Ark., she married Dale M. Cravens, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1996.
Surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Dale and Sandy Cravens of Dexter; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marcia Beaird and Sherry and Sam Hector of Dexter; one brother, Jimmie Don Walker of Live Oak, Fla.; two sisters, Martha Ann Patton of Live Oak, Fla., and Sharion Faye Hershey of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Jackson and Mardell Qualls; and three brothers, Vern "Bud" Walker, Jr., Bill Walker and Jackie Walker.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Ron Beaton of Dexter will officiate.
Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery.
