Mary Arbuckle

WARDELL, Mo. - Mary Elizabeth Arbuckle, 89, died May 10, 2017, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born June 24, 1927, in Phoenix, Ariz., to the late Newman and Mary Edney Clark, she was a member of the Wardell Baptist Church. In the later part of her life she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in education from Arkansas State University.

On Jan. 1, 1950, in Wardell, she married John Arbuckle Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2010.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Doris Daly and Iris Maddox.

Survivors include: two sons, John C. Arbuckle III of Wardell and Wayne Arbuckle of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Mary Reynolds of Wardell; two brothers, John Clark of Myrtle and Alvin Clark of Thayer; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wardell Baptist Church. The Rev. Griff Walker and the Rev. Justin Arbuckle will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery under the direction of the DeLisle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Arbuckle, Bill David Reynolds, Brandon Stracener and Luke Stracener

Honorary pallbearer will be John David Arbuckle
