PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Mary Elizabeth Creasy, 97, died Sept. 5, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 8, 1920, in Union City, Tenn., to the late Ida E. Douglas and Bob Hawkins,
On Nov. 23, 1946, in Hayward, she married Noah Columbus Creasy, who preceded her in death on July 16, 1975.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Noah Thomas Creasy on March 29, 2014; one sister, Tanzy Ella Mae Hawkins Killion; three half sisters, Maggie Sue Hawkins Smith, Marie Underwood and Mary Jo Hawkins; one brother, Iley Edmen Hawkins; five half brothers, William Calvin Underwood, Aubrey Lee Underwood, Charles Underwood, Lafe Dhyklin Underwood, Herman Dale Underwood; one daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Creasy; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Bobby Ray Creasy of Winfield, Raymond Lee and Jackie Creasy of Lilbourn, Gerald Edmond and Yuxiang Creasy of Salem and Glen Ray Creasy of Gideon; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Joyce and Randy Newton and Linda Mae and John Thacker and Tanzy Marie Creasy Tucker and Larry Russell of Portageville; and 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Allan Gentry will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
