SIKESTON -- Floyd Don Jackson, 76, died Sept. 25, 2017, at his home in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 4, 1940, in Thebes, Ill., to the late Francis and Susie Jackson.

On Nov. 23, 1962, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he married Sharon Asbell, who preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 1994.

Survivors include: his fiancee, Bobbie Buttry of Sikeston; one son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Dawn Jackson Jr. of Truro, Iowa; two daughters, Donna Marie Smith of Cape Girardeau and Marian Deann of Hiawatha, Kan.; two brothers, Dearl Jackson of Springield, Ill., and Terry Jackson of Thebes, Ill.; four sisters, Shelby Spencer of Cape Girardeau, Janet Hewerdine of Chester, Ill., Linda Lee of Metropolis, Ill., and Carolyn Gaskins of Olive Branch, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Dean Jackson; and one sister, Martha Durham.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sikeston Eagles Club in Sikeston.
