CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Mary Alice Delk Kirk, 79, died Oct. 24, 2017, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 1, 1938, in Mississippi County, daughter of the late Harold Vance and Mary Aline Cogdill Delk, she had lived most of her life in Charleston where she was a member of the United Methodist Church. An accountant, she had worked in the office for Bob Hearnes Accounting office in Charleston and then later with Will Bucher Accounting for over 35 years until her retirement.
On May 25, 1963, she married Billy Edward "Bill" Kirk, who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1995.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Kirk of Minneapolis; two brothers, Harold Delk Jr. of Bertrand and Bobby Lee Delk of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Grace Wilkerson of Bertrand; and one grandson, William Glaspie of Minneapolis.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Dale Delk.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. The Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
