SIKESTON -- Linda Glaus, age 74, passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017.
She was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Charleston, to the late Jack and Mary Brown. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and with her husband she had owned and operated Sonny's Solid Waste and Tri-County Recycling and Transfer Station.
On May 6, 1967, she married Raymond G. "Sonny" Glaus Jr., who preceded her in death on March 11, 2013.
Survivors include: three sons, Raymond G. "Trace" Glaus III and wife, Jane, Michael Glaus and wife, Michelle, and David "Slick" Glaus and wife Tina, all of Sikeston; one sister, Nancy Lynn of Sikeston; eight grandchildren, Trey Glaus, Wesley Glaus, Josh Glaus, Michaela Glaus, Zac Glaus, Clayton Glaus, Alison Staggs and Austin Shaw all of Sikeston; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Griffin, Mary Stalinski, Maureen Vanover and Sheila Roberts; and one brother, Buddy Brown.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Ponder Funeral Home from noon until time of service at 3 p.m. The Rev. Jennifer Bell Moxley, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Trey, Wesley, Josh, Zac, Clayton Glaus and Austin Shaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Trace, Mike, David, Michaela, Pete and Pete Glaus III, Ron Payne, Matt and Robbie Marshall.
